Text Alerts for Mozarts Parents

It's easy to stay in the loop! We use Twitter to provide real-time information to Mozarts parents. You don't need to become a Twitter addict to get access to this service; after signing up you never need to look at Twitter again.

Twitter is a message service which allows us to send out event reminders, urgent updates, postponements and school closures due to extreme circumstances. You can receive this information directly on your mobile phone by following the instructions below. Currently, Twitter only supports Vodafone and Telecom cellphones in New Zealand.

Instructions

Start receiving text-messages from Mozarts

  1. If you don't already have a Twitter account, sign up at www.twitter.com. You do not have to enter your real full name. Make sure you remember your username and password details.
  2. Text the word "START" to 8987, and wait for a reply.
  3. Reply with the Twitter username you just created, and wait for a reply.
  4. Reply with the password you just created, and wait for a reply.
  5. Reply with "OK".
  6. Text "FOLLOW @MozartsNZ" to 8987.

Stop receiving text-messages from Mozarts

  1. From your mobile phone, text "OFF @MozartsNZ" to 8987.

Check messages via computer

Regardless of whether you use Twitter on your mobile phone, you can check for updates:

  1. On the front page of www.mozarts.co.nz.
  2. On our school Facebook page www.facebook.com/MozartsPerformingArts.
  3. On our school Twitter feed www.twitter.com/MozartsNZ.
